This consistent performance reflects not only the hard work and enthusiasm of our students but also the dedication and expertise of our language teachers. 

Our educators go beyond traditional teaching methods, incorporating singing, games, cooking and excursions to make language learning both relevant and fun.

At Penrhos College, languages are more than just a subject; they are a way of life. Starting their journey in Year 7, students immerse themselves in language and cultural studies, forming strong bonds and friendships that last throughout their school years and beyond.

Education Perfect Global Language Championships 2024

At Penrhos College, the Languages Department has once again demonstrated its outstanding commitment to excellence and passion for language learning. 

In a remarkable achievement, our students answered over 380,000 questions in just seven days during the Education Perfect Global Language Championships 2024, securing our place among the top 10 schools in Western Australia for the past decade. 

This year, over 60 of our dedicated language students received awards, showcasing their motivation and dedication to mastering new languages and cultures.

Unforgettable Experiences

For many of our language students, past opportunities to participate in overseas tours have been highlights of their school experience, providing immersive cultural experiences that leave lasting memories. 

Students frequently share stories and adventures from these trips, bringing the richness of their experiences back into the classroom.

Lifelong Connections

The relationships formed between our language teachers and students extend well beyond graduation. 

Many of our alumni maintain close ties with their teachers, attending reunion dinners, catching up regularly, and even inviting them to significant life events such as weddings. These lasting connections are a testament to the supportive and nurturing environment that our language department fosters.
