Each year the College Council, the Penrhos College Foundation and the Penrhos College Alumni Inc. award a number of scholarships and bursaries.

Scholarships are awarded on academic merit and/or musical ability, dependent on the scholarship being applied for. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of results of academic testing and/or a musical audition.

Bursaries are made available to girls who will flourish in our stimulating environment and whose parents may be unable, for financial reasons, to send their daughter to Penrhos College. Bursaries are awarded after an application process and interview with the Principal.

Scholarship applications will only be considered once all supporting documents have been received.

Testimonials

“I feel as though I am set in amazing routines to strive for my best at Penrhos by the amount of ongoing support within the community. Boarders have study at the library every night  for 2 hours where we are assisted by two helpful tutors. All of my teachers are always willing to give me extra help and offer honest feedback on what I am doing well and where I need to improve. In co-curricular sport I have had awesome coaches especially in netball and athletics. Receiving the Penrhos bursary was one of the most exciting opportunities in my life.”

Grace, Year 9 Boarder and 2018 Bursary recipient

“My favourite part of studying at Penrhos is the fact that I am surrounded by my peers, who have similar academic and co-curricular ambitions and interests as I do. Penrhos supports me to strive for the highest by providing a team of teachers that constantly encourage me to look further than just the school curriculum, and to delve deeper into topics that I have interests in. Receiving a Penrhos bursary is an honour, and it is a privilege to attend a school of such high standards.”

Sophie, Year 9 Boarder and 2018 Bursary recipient
