The Penrhos College Alumni Inc. aims to perpetuate school and community spirit among our alumni members.
We work to foster alumni interest and goodwill in College affairs by encouraging intellectual, social and emotional ties between alumni members and Penrhos College. The alumni host events, connect alumni for networking and mentoring opportunities, and provide our alumni with school related publications and news.
Upon graduation, all current Penrhos College students who have attended the College for a period of 12 months or more automatically become members of Penrhos College Alumni Inc.
Class Reunions
Class reunions are held at regular intervals on the anniversary of graduation – at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 years. The self-nominated class coordinator will be fully assisted by the College’s Events Coordinator to plan these functions. If you would like to help coordinate your reunion please email alumni@penrhos.wa.edu.au.
Leavers’ Reunions
Every year the Penrhos College Alumni host the Leavers’ Reunion, held approximately 18 months after graduation in March.
Founders’ Day
Founders’ Day is held in August each year to commemorate the day in 1951 when the Methodist Trustees passed a resolution to purchase St Anne’s Girls’ School in Angelo Street, thus founding MLC South Perth. The day’s festivities include a Chapel Service, Student Assembly and performances, College Tour and a light lunch.
Shakers & Stirrers Networking Evenings
The ‘Shakers & Stirrers’ evenings provide an opportunity to develop professional relationships and social connections with our brother school, Wesley College.
High Tea
All alumni, Penrhos College staff, parents, past parents and other Penrhos College community members are invited to attend this wonderful afternoon in April/May each year.
