The Helping Hand Initiative – new for 2021!
This year, the Foundation is stepping into the spotlight to showcase some of the wonderful work it does! As part of our 2021 community engagement drive, we are launching a new initiative called the Helping Hand – we want to encourage students and staff to present their ideas on how we can improve, enhance or enrich the Penrhos community experience for the benefit of all.
Proposals are invited for special grants, which will be considered at regular intervals throughout the year – awards will then be made for selected ideas via the Helping Hand initiative.
Although applications for large amounts will be happily considered, the Foundation would prefer to share the Helping Hand budget – $100,000 per annum – in support of a range of different ideas, to achieve the widest possible reach.
So, get your thinking cap on and make your bid to make a difference, with a Helping Hand award!
All grants must be approved by the Principal and funding will not be considered for the support or subsidy of operating budgets.
Where grants are awarded for student-initiated proposals, applications are to be completed with the assistance of supervising teaching staff or via the Penrhos College Student Council. Careful consideration will be given to resource requirements around the delivery of successful projects, and applicants are encouraged to include such details as part of their application.
Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and can be of an ongoing nature, should the business case be approved.
