Health Centre Nurse (Casual)
The College is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Health team in a casual capacity.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide expert, evidence-based care to students and staff.
- Work flexibly across a variety of shifts, including boarding house support and school sporting events; with the ability to attend camps on occasion when required.
- Promote positive health strategies and empower students to take charge of their wellbeing.
- Be part of an adventurous, fun, and purpose-driven school community.
- Offer compassionate, culturally responsive care to a diverse student body.
- Respond effectively to health incidents and emergencies with professionalism and confidence.
The successful applicant will have:
- Minimum of five years post basic general nursing experience with a wide range of nursing experience including working with children and adolescents
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
- Current National Police Clearance and Current Working with Children Card (WWC) or the ability to obtain.
- Eligibility for affiliation with the WA School Nurses Association (WASNA)
The following essential criteria must be addressed with evidence in your Cover Letter:
- Maintains knowledge and skills in emergency and crisis response e.g. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, anaphylaxis, allergy and asthma first aid, mental health assessment and critical incident management
- Experience/training in First Aid and the management of sporting injuries including spinal injuries.
- Training in Mandatory Reporting
- Knowledge/training of Gatekeeper Suicide Mental Health Risk Assessment
- Demonstrates a sound knowledge of young people’s contemporary health and social issues.
- Has a good understanding/qualifications in women’s health issues, and sexual health
- Demonstrates appreciation of the impact of being a boarding student

Piano Accompanist (Part-time, Commencing Term 2 2025)
We have an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in a vibrant music program within Penrhos College.
The College’s Music program offers a multitude of possibilities to both students and staff that is set within a dynamic and creative educational context. The Piano Accompanist aspect of the position is responsible for assisting the Director of Music in the coordination and implementation of the rehearsal process for students, choirs and instrumental ensembles and to accompany performances at school events.
Due to the nature of this position there is a requirement to rehearse and perform outside of school hours. There may also be the opportunity for peripatetic or classroom work in addition to this position if desirable to both the applicant and the College.
This is a permanent part-time position up to 0.6 FTE.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Bachelor of Music, Music Education or equivalent experience (Highly desirable)
- Professional level of piano performance skills
- Professional level specific to accompaniment of solo and ensemble vocal and instrumental rehearsals and performances across Junior and Secondary school
- Ability to perform in a variety of musical styles
- Excellent sight-reading abilities
- A Current Working with Children card (WWC) and National Police Clearance
- A Commitment to the College’s Core Shared values of Respect, Integrity, Empathy, Knowledge, Growth and Synergy
- A Commitment to the safeguarding of students and providing a safe, supportive and respectful learning environment.
